Samples Request

At theplasticshop.co.uk we know that it's nice to get touchy-feely with materials before you're sure it's what you want.

We can send a maximum of 3 samples per pack for which we make a small administration charge of £5.00

This charge is fully refundable if you subsequently place an order for one of the sampled materials. We will send a voucher code with your samples, which can be used when you checkout on your next visit*

Sample packs normally take a couple of days to be prepare, we send them via Royal Mail 1st Class post, so you should expect to receive them within 3/5 working days - if you need them urgently, please call us and let us know.

Sheet Samples

• Acrylic mirror sheet samples are 150mm x 75mm
• Perspex sheet samples are 100mm x 50mm in 3mm thick only - unless specified otherwise
• Corrugated plastic sheet samples are 150mm x 75mm
• Polycarbonate sheet samples are sized at approximately 100mm x 50mm
• Rubber samples are sized at approximately 150mm x 75mm
• All other sheet samples are sized at 50mm x 50mm and available in 3mm only - unless specified otherwise

Rod Samples

• Coloured acrylic rod samples are 6.4mm diameter x approx 30mm long
• Acrylic square bar samples are 10mm x 10mm in clear. (To evaluate square bar colours select the corresponding round rod sample)
• All other acrylic rod samples are 20mm diameter x approx 30mm long
• All other rod samples are normally 20mm diameter x approx 100mm long

Tube Samples

• Acrylic tube samples are: 40mm OD x 34 ID x 30mm long in Cast and 20mm OD x 14mm ID x 30mm long in Extruded
• Polycarbonate tube samples are 15mm OD x 11mm ID x 30mm long

Non-standard Samples

If the sample you require is not listed, or if you have non-standard or very specific sample requirements (eg small sample of 50mm dia nylon rod) please email us so that we can advise you if we need to make an additional charge. Many of our products are available to buy online at custom dimensions - so please check product pages first.

Availability of Samples

Please note, samples listed on this page are subject to availability. All sizes quoted are approximates only. In the unlikely event we are out of stock of a particular item, we reserve the right to substitute your request with closest stock alternative. We also reserve the right to reject multiple sample orders.

*Voucher terms: Vouchers can only be used once and are subject to validation. Each voucher code is unique and must be entered on the checkout page when your next order is placed. Voucher is valid for 6 months and is non-transferable
