Ertalyte® is a proprietary, semi-crystalline thermoplastic polyester based on polyethylene terephthalate (PETP).
The unique properties of Ertalyte® offers good chemical and abrasion resistance whilst its low moisture absorption enables mechanical and electrical properties to remain virtually unaffected by moisture

Main properties of our range of Ertalyte® sheet, rod and tube are:
- High mechanical strength, stiffness and hardness
- Very good creep resistance
- Low and constant coefficient of friction
- Excellent wear resistance (comparable with or even better than nylon grades)
- Very good dimensional stability (better than polyacetal)
- Excellent stain resistance
- Better resistance to acids than nylon and polyacetal
- Good electrical insulating properties
- Physiologically inert (suitable for food contact)
- Good resistance to high energy radiation (gamma and X-rays)

Ertalyte® PETP
Ertalyte® is an unreinforced, semi-crystalline thermoplastic polyester based on polyethylene terephthalate (PETP). It is characterised as having the best dimensional stability coupled with excellent wear resistance, a low coefficient of friction, high strength, and resistance to moderately acidic solutions - making it especially suitable for the manufacture of precision mechanical parts, capable of sustaining high loads and enduring wear conditions.Ertalyte® is FDA compliant in natural and black. Ertalyte® is an excellent candidate for parts used in the food processing and equipment industries.

Ertalyte® TX
Ertalyte® TX is a PET compound incorporating a uniformly dispersed solid lubricant. Its specific formulation yields a premium, internally lubricated bearing-grade. Ertalyte® TX has not only an outstanding wear resistance, but offers in comparison with Ertalyte® an even lower coefficient of friction and excels under both high pressure and velocity conditions.
