A street-wise charity aimed at the positive engagement of young people throughout over 30 inner London schools & communities, XLP has been helping to restore a sense of self-worth amongst disadvantaged kids for the past twelve years - making it a natural partner for the 'Pimp My Ride' team led by DJ and presenter Tim Westwood, which each week brings clapped-out motors back to their former glory and then some.
MTV attracts over 17m regular viewers each month, with the 'Pimp My Ride' riot van transformation proving to be one of the most popular and widely-watched programmes in the show's current series.
The riot van was donated by the Metropolitan Police, who co-sponsored the makeover along with EMI Music.
theplasticshop.co.uk donated Perspex for various stages of the refit, and were on hand to give support and advice.
