Duratron® 5530 PAI
This 30% glass fibre reinforced grade offers higher stiffness, strength and creep resistance than Duratron® T4203 PAI. It is well suited for structural applications supporting static loads for long periods of time at high temperatures.
In addition, Duratron® 5530 PAI exhibits superb dimensional stability up to 250°C making it extremely popular for precision parts for example in the electrical and semiconductor industries where it improves the reliability of eg test connections and extends part life.
The suitability of Duratron® 5530 PAI for sliding parts, however, is to be carefully examined since the glass fibres tend to abrade the mating surface.
Duratron® T5530 PAI is subject to stock availability and/or manufacturing lead times and generally available in:
- Sheet: 9.53mm to 50.8mm thick
- Rod: 50.8mm to 254mm diameter
- Tube: made to order on request
