Choose your grade of PolyethylenePolyethylene Index

Owing to its extremely low coefficient of friction, corrosion and chemical resistance, coupled with excellent impact strength, polyethylene is one of the most versatile thermoplastics available.

The material is available in a range of grades suitable for a wide range of industrial and general applications

Choose material grade
The following grades of polyethylene are available to buy - please select from:
 High Density Polyethylene (HDPE/PE300)
HDPE high density polyethylene has excellent impact strength, even at temperatures as low as -30ºC. Coupled with low coefficient of friction and ease of fabrication, HDPE high density polyethylene is widely used in automotive, leisure and industrial applications and is particularly suitable for the fabrication of tanks, silos, hoppers etc.

Available colours: Natural (opaque white) & Black   Available to buy in: sheet, rod and tube
 High Molecular Weight Polyethylene (HMWPE/PE500)
PE500 high molecular weight polyethylene is generally supplied in sheet form already planed to close tolerances and can perform at temperatures as low as -50ºC. It also boasts a higher wear resistance than PE300 giving it a wider range of applications within all aspects of industry.

PE500 high molecular weight polyethylene is widely used for its impact resistance in applications such as cutting boards, fenders, hand rails and protection strips where repeated impact is expected.

Available colours: Natural (opaque white) & Black + ?????   Available to buy in sheet
Ultra High Molecular Weight Polyethylene (UHMWPE/PE1000) - VIRGIN GRADE
Having the highest molecular weight of our standard range of Polyethylene, PE1000 ultra high molecular weight polyethylene is the most wear resistant. Particularly suited to applications such as chain guides, star wheels, wear strips etc. It remains the typical impact resistance of Polyethylene and can operate as low as -270ºC.

Available colours: Natural (opaque white) & Black + ??????   Available to buy in: sheet, rod and tube
Ultra High Molecular Weight Polyethylene (UHMWPE/PE1000) - REGENERATED GRADE
Through the addition of a proportion of regenerated PE1000 - this grade of polyethylene offers a cost effective solution whilst still retaining much of its excellent wear and impact resistance of virgin PE1000. Particularly suited to linings and wear applications where a low-cost alternative can be satisfactorily substituted.

Available colours: Black and Green   Available to buy in: sheet
