Other Filled PTFE Grade

PTFE, because of the properties previously described, is used in many applications. Properties can be improved and/or modified by adding suitable fillers. The fillers most commonly used, in concentrations to suit application, are:

• Glass fibre
• Carbon fibre
• Bronze
• Graphite
• Molybdenum disulphide (MoS²)
• Metal powders
• Ceramics
• Metal oxides

and can also be produced using mixtures of two or more additives.
